I need your help. I’ll be your Social Handmaiden.

Have you seen it?

For Compassion International’s and The American Red Cross’s current work in desperate Haiti, I am offering my services to you as your Social Media Handmaiden.

What’s that you ask? Go here to find out, but basically, for only $1, I will be your Internet Cheerleader and Creative Spokesperson. Our imaginations are the limit.

Check it out and consider using your gifts, your money, or your social media skills to spread the word about the need in Haiti. Let’s do what we can, people.

Obviously, I encourage you to go straight to Compassion International who serves over 65,000 already-struggling children there. In the name of Jesus, these little ones need water, food, and relief of every kind. So many are hanging on by a breath, and there aren’t even standing hospitals to take on the broken. I’m asking now that you please give as much as you possibly can. If it’s a dollar, your dollar glorifies God and serves real flesh and blood, made in the image of God.

If you twitter, please retweet this. If you use facebook, please link to this post. If you have an email adress, please email this to everyone in your address book. If you StumbleUpon, I’m asking now that you use that, too, to spread the word.

Thank you for working with me, friends. You are loyal through and through.

I am so encouraged at how people are using technology to give towards compassionate, practical response. One of these kinds of posts from another of our members inspired me to donate.

I have seen so much care and love and concern and real, practical reaching out all across the webosphere. It’s inspiring, and reminds me that we are all capable of stepping up when our neighbor is truly in need. It gives me hope. God bless those precious, hurting, devastated children, and the newly childless mothers. God help me, I cannot imagine.

I love your creativity, Amber. Way to use what you’ve been given. This is the parable of the talents in action.
