My Moxie

I have this cute bag, went out in the last of Fall with it. I went under the moon. The camera man lay on his stomach. He focused on the grass. When the backdrop is all interstate, hotel, and sidewalk, you learn to focus on the single blade of grass. The cricket in the court yard makes do for canopy of squirrels or pond of tadpoles.

We stop long for the moon.

When life aims at cardboard boxes because a move is coming, you pick the little things to keep out, the things that make you smile. My Moxie Mandie clutch has red inside, keys and phone – ready for running out.

I’ve been feeling like running out.

Soon we move back to the ROCK HOUSE! I cannot even say it all. How can I say it: Home and community, living smaller, loving/not loving neighbors? What do I say of family design or the pecking order of 20 little boys in an apartment complex yard? I cannot say how much I’ve missed the peonies in the Spring, the raccoon yard thief. The deer, the magnolia.

I’m taking the quilts home. I’m packing pillows and baby things, this genius tie-dye onesie and the baby himself – we’ve got to figure out what to do with another person in that old place. Titus is 4th of the boys who are the 6th generation to live in the Rock House, the old Home place, remnants of tomato farm, grandma’s merry-go-round, Oklahoma roses, wild pink New Orleans poppies.

Style gets rearranged again and again. We shift. We decorate with what we have, thankful for cheap pillows with new covers, earrings I’ve made by hand, clutches that come with the kind of zipper sound you hear on vintage dresses.

Take a peek at Moxie Mandie today. Leave a comment telling me your favorite thing there, and you’ll be entered to win your choice of pillow case from her shop! Leave other comments, too, for any way you promote this post or newly follow the Muck or the Moxie.

I’ll bring more details here soon. Just know for now my brain is stuck on helping to make BlissDom ’12 a beautiful experience, my hands are creating savage things, and my belongings are stacked for boxes. My heart is revving.

What news! My heart is singing for you, and yet…praying…too…because oh, that moving thing. Last time, Elliana was a wee two weeks old and it was absolutely.nuts.

You mean we have to pick *one* thing from Moxie Mandie? It’s all so gorgeous. I love that light blue damask pillow cover. I’m a sucker for damask. Well, I’m a sucker for beautiful, more accurately.

Love to you! Praying for your brain on overload.

It’s been quiet in the muck lately. Now I know why! Praying for your move into the “rock house”.
And I love everything at Moxie Mandie. Do I have to pick one thing at Moxie? I can’t. But I will if I win this contest. :)

So happy for your family. That baby is getting so big so fast.
There’s too much to choose from. Can I say “everything” and still be legit?

Okay, I’m checkin’ Ms. Moxie out!

And you? I see you look gorgeous as ever, Moxie bag or not. And didn’t you have that sweet baby, like, 10 minutes ago? No one could tell! But oh, that little Titus…he’s so darling, I can hardly stand it!

Love you, Lovely Amber! {And praying the packing/moving process goes well…no easy endeavor with little ones!}

Oh Amber! I’ve got tears coming! I could never really picture you in the apartments, not being home there, being six there… I always see you in the Rock Home, always ask God to let you see how He is good to you and you don’t have to feel guilty for that because He shows His goodness to others in different ways…

I’m so happy for you to be able to move home and dream and be the girl He made and loves, with a little more space, and a little more room for the dreaming. I can’t wait to see what He gives you in this new chapter!
